Rollerworld Party Host

Rollerworld is looking for a party host.

Our party hosts need to be organised, happy, fun and energetic. You will be required to keep all our guests happy and provide a top quality service.

Job Role

To call all party parents one week before the party to go over food and party options and confirm numbers for food orders.

To add any extra requirements our guests might need.

To meet and greet the party at reception when they arrive and give out wristbands and introduce yourself.

To explain to the party parent how the party will run.

To prepare the table names, decorations and any other items needed on the day.

To prepare the food or organise other staff to cook.

Be organised and get timings right for each party

To get the kids excited, doing competitions between parties, singing and even dancing.

Keep party parents informed, up to date and happy. Happy parents = happy parties.

Prospects

Rollerworld is looking for someone to grow the role. Improve the party experience and take Rollerworld parties to the next level. Rollerworld Parties are one of the best in Colchester but we want to be better than that, so we are looking for that special employee to make parties their own and give our customers the best possible experience they have ever had.

Parties include, skating and karaoke atm so if you can skate and or sing it would be an advantage but not a deal breaker. Enthusiasm, energy, honesty and real sense of wanting to provide the best service you can is essential. Experience is definitely going to help but if you have been an events organiser or a host and can bring all the above then lets have a chat.

Rollerworld Skate Steward

Location: Rollerworld Colchester
Employment Type : Permanent / Part-time
Department: Entertainment

Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential

The Skate Steward is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensures safety and security on the Skating Rink. Roller skating experience wearing quad skates (preferably artistic style) is mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
  • To ensure that the rink area is kept clean at all times.
  • Follow rigidly and observe all safety regulations and rules.
  • To communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
  • To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these.
  • To ensure that the guests’ needs and requirements are met.
  • To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • To ensure that all reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and other persons on the premises.
  • To report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents or damage.
  • To carry out any other duties as may be notified to you by management.
  • To ensure that all fire doors are closed and that fire routes are kept clear at all times.
  • REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Basic Skating ability and experience is a MUST. Candidates with no such experience need not apply.
  • Ability to communicate clearly.
  • Ability to deal in a firm and polite manner with customer and with a positive, pleasant and helpful attitude.
  • Physically fit.

Work experience NOT required

Training will be given, including: FIRST AID AT WORK, FARS BASIC SKILLS

Rollerworld Bar Staff

Location: Rollerworld Colchester

Experience not needed BUT availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends is essential

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide a friendly and efficient service within the bar, dispensing orders accurately, with courtesy to the standard required according to company policy and legislation.
  • To report for duty on time and in the correct uniform.
  • To ensure that the guests’ needs and requirements are met.
  • You are responsible for the efficient dispensing and servicing of drinks and food if required.
  • To communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
  • To ensure that the bar area is kept clean at all times.
  • Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all floats by checking them and reporting irregularities.
  • To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these.
  • To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • To observe all safety procedures and rules.
  • To report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents or damage.
  • To carry out any other duties as may be notified to you by management.

Training will be given, including: FOOD SAFETY, FIRST AID AT WORK

Rollerworld Skate Hire Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide a friendly and efficient service within the venue with courtesy to the standard required by company policy.

  • To ensure that the guests’ needs and requirements are met.
  • To communicate our services and facilities to guests as required.
  • To ensure that the cafe and seating areas are kept clean at all times.
  • To ensure that the toilet areas are kept clean at all times.
  • Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
  • To deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and to notify management of these.
  • To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • To observe all safety procedures and rules.
  • To report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents or damage.
  • To carry out any other duties as may be notified to you by management.
