Training Requirements

Skating Ability:

  • Capable of being in close proximity to another skater in a draftline scenario
  • Capable of turning corners at speed (relative to the max speed of the individual in question)
  • Capable of quick maneuverability, quick speed change (up and down) and quick stopping.
  • Rollerworld Gold Standard Skater

Physical Ability (that will aid you in the session):

  • Good aerobic base
  • Good leg strength
  • Good single leg balance.

Mindset

  • Good attitude fitness based training
  • Not afraid of falls and/or colliding with other skaters
  • Maintains focus in times of failure

Equipment

Please ensure you have the correct equipment for this club:

Helmets are non-negotiable, and will always be required (NGB requirement).

Wrist guards are recommended, but optional.

Elbow pads and knee pads are optional (but may restrict some movement in some drills)

Although no rule prevents quad skates, inlines are the preferred skate type for the session (quads will put you at a disadvantage)

Skate hire is not available
