1.1 Members can be under 18 but the application and payment must be made by an adult over 18.
1.2 The start-up payments, the membership plan and the associated upfront lump sum or monthly fees, initial minimum term and start dates you have chosen are set out on the application form.
1.3 Our memberships are annual memberships and are available for an initial minimum term of 12 months. At joining, Members can elect a membership plan that includes an early termination option after 1 or 6 months. This option is available at a small premium and is reflected in the price of the Membership Plan.
1.4 This agreement will become binding on you and us when we contact you to confirm your membership application has been accepted, at which point a contract will come into existence between you and us.
1.5 You can choose to delay the start date of your membership by up to 1 month.
1.6 You will be entitled to all the rights and privileges of membership immediately and you will receive your card within 7 days. To use your membership before you have received your membership card you will need to show your confirmation email at the Customer Service Desk / Reception.
1.7 You cannot transfer this agreement to anyone else
1.8 You agree to advise us immediately of any change to the Members Details provided.
2.1 The Joining Fee (if one is payable) and first month’s membership fees are collected from you by us either credit or debit card at time of purchase. Joining fees are applied to cover the initial administration costs associated with setting up a new membership.
2.2 Your second Payment for monthly membership fees only will be collected one month after you joined, unless you selected a postponed starting date, in which they will be collected one month from that date. Subsequent payments for monthly membership fees will be collected monthly thereafter.
2.3 Each payment made is not refundable under any circumstances.
2.4 If any payment is cancelled, rejected or unpaid for whatever reason, you shall pay us on demand an administration fee of £25. If, despite us having notified you of a missed payment, the further payments are missed, we reserve the right to, at our sole election, either suspend or terminate your membership, upon having given you written notice of our intention to do so. We may present an option to reduce the administration fee if the outstanding amount is paid within 7 days of becoming due.
3.1 From time to time we may need to increase the price of membership. The price you pay will be locked for the duration of the minimum period of your contract. After this time we will give you at least 1 full months’ notice of any incoming price increase and will make it very clear when the price increase will take effect and how much your membership will cost after the increase. During this period, you will have your usual right to terminate your membership in accordance with the membership terms and conditions and rules. If you do not terminate the membership by the date given to you in the notice, then the price of your membership will be increased in accordance with our notice.
4.1.1 You may terminate your membership at any point after the minimum term. Please email email@example.com or call Customer Services for options available to you or for any further information.
4.1.2 In the above circumstances, your membership will remain in force until the day before your next payment is due, at which point it will automatically terminate.

4.3.1 As per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you are entitled to cancel your membership and receive a full refund of any fees paid within 14 days of completing your membership application form. However, as per regulation 36 of Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, if you select to commence your membership immediately, you agree that if you subsequently cancel your membership within the 14 day period, you will be refunded any monies paid, less an amount for the membership you have already used commencing from the first day after joining.
5.1 The management reserve the right to cancel any memberships as they see fit, in this instance, you will be notified and any credits will be returned to you by the same payment method in a period of not more than 30 days.
6.1 Your membership benefits can only be used by you: Your membership card is issued solely for your use, as your membership is personal to you. You are responsible for keeping your card safe at all times. The membership card remains our property at all times (unless agreed otherwise and evidenced in writing). Lost or damaged cards may incur a £10 replacement fee.
6.2 Use of Membership cards is monitored: In the interests of the security of all our members, users may be asked to provide proof of identification.
6.3 What we will do if we think your membership has been misused: Should we believe that your membership has been used by another individual or individuals we may (in our discretion) decide to investigate. If we do, we will: (a) inform you, via email, that we believe your membership has been used by another individual or individuals and ask you to provide us with reasonable assistance to investigate the matter; and (b) following our investigation we will contact you, via email, to inform you of our findings and our proposed course of action, which may include one or more of the steps set out in paragraph 4 below.
6.4 Our Right to make additional charges and/or cancel your membership: If you unreasonably refuse to cooperate with our investigation, or following our investigation we have reasonable grounds to believe that your membership benefits were used, with or without your knowledge and/or consent, by another individual or individuals, depending on the particular circumstances of each case, we reserve the right to take one or both of the following steps, which are in addition to any other legal rights that we may have : (a) to apply a penalty charge to your membership fees (and increase your payment(s) accordingly). The penalty charge will be calculated as being equal to the standard charges (that applied at the time of use) for each occasion on which your benefits were used by that individual/those individuals; and/or (b) in the event of serious misuse of your benefits, for example, your benefits has/have been used on repeated occasions and/or by more than one individual, to notify you, via email, that we are cancelling your membership with immediate effect, and no refunds will be given.
6.5 Your responsibility for another’s conduct: If we have reasonable grounds for believing that you knowingly provided your membership card to another individual or individuals, or allowed unauthorised use of your benefits, in addition to our rights referred to in paragraph 4 above, we may hold you responsible for the conduct of the individual(s) while on our premises, and liable for any loss we suffer as a consequence of that conduct.
6.6 If you lose or misplace the card/device, you need to contact Customer Services to remove the device immediately.
7.1.1 Roller skating, like all sports, has risks that should be considered. Even fully trained and experienced skaters have the risk of injury due to the nature of the sport. Neither the owner, the management nor any staff of Rollerworld shall be liable for any accident or injury to any customer or third party.
7.1.2 Accidents can occur through one’s own lacking of skill and experience, or by collision with another skater. Our staff are trained in rink traffic control, basic first aid, and proper roller skating surface and equipment maintenance. For this reason, skaters shall comprehend the existence of risk as skaters themselves or other parties are possible to cause accident.
7.1.3 If you are a beginner, we highly recommend you to consider taking lessons with our qualified roller skating instructors prior to attempting this sport. For more information please see our Learn to Skate courses.
7.1.4 All skaters shall properly behave and observe all rules provided in our rollercode. Skaters shall fulfil their obligation to take care of themselves and their children.
7.1.5 By entering Rollerworld you agree to adhere to our Rules and follow the instruction of the staff. Failure to abide by the Skate Steward’s or other staff’s instructions shall be liable to eviction.
7.1.1 Elderly who are over the age of 60, pregnant women, those who cannot take care of themselves or have related epilepsy, as well as patients who have cardiovascular disease, asthma, poliomyelitis, osteogenesis imperfecta or other bone disease, are advised that roller skating is not suitable and should consult with a doctor before participation.
7.1.1 We caution parents to seriously consider the consequences before allowing your children to attempt roller skating. We highly recommend parents to consider taking the children to our Learn to Skate courses with our qualified roller skating instructors prior to attempting this sport.
7.1.1 Skaters are forbidden to bring digital appliances, food or drinks on the rink.
7.1.1 All personal belongings and valuable items must be placed in lockers provided. Neither the owner, the management nor any staff of Rollerworld shall be responsible for the loss, theft or damage to, any property or valuable belongings of any skater or visitor. No personal belongings or valuables shall be entrusted to any Rollerworld employee.
7.1.1 In accordance with these terms and conditions, neither the owner, the management nor any staff of Rollerworld shall be liable or responsible for an accident whether caused by the skater him/herself, or any collision with other skaters. Take these risks into account before you attempt this sport.
7.2.1 All participants of quasar acknowledge that by the virtue of the nature of the game that there are risks of injury to yourself or others and injurys except for death or personal injury caused as a result of negligence of Quasar at Rollerworld and it’s staff, Rollerworld and Quasar accept no liability.
7.2.2 Personal belongings are to be stored in lockers for the duration of the game.
7.2.3 All participants agree to abide by the instructions and rules given by the Quasar marshal.
7.2.4 All participants are aware that this activity is of an intense nature and darkness, smoke, flashing lights, sound effects, obstacles, steps, stairs and raised levels are all part of the game.
7.2.5 Running, climbing and physical contact are not allowed while playing.
7.2.6 Quasar Guns must be held in both hands at all times.
7.2.7 Participants accept full responsibility for damage to the quasar facilities and/or equipment caused buy them.
7.2.8 All medical, medicinal and allergy information that may effect participation in Quasar needs to be told to the Quasar marshal before playing.
7.2.9 Any event of equipment failing must be notified to a Quasar marshal immediately and complaints to be raised with reception. Equipment will be tested before resolving a complaint.
7.2.10 All participants will abide by the RollerCODE
8.1 You agree to comply with the Rules of Membership which are displayed prominently in the venue and/or on the website (www.rollerworld.co.uk) and relate to opening hours, use of facilities and your conduct. We may make reasonable changes to these Rules at any time.
8.2 If we take no action or let you off any breach of this agreement or give you extra time to pay or comply, it will not stop us enforcing the terms of this agreement strictly at a future date.
8.3 We may assign the benefit of this agreement and our rights thereunder to a third party on notice to you. Your rights under this agreement will not be prejudiced.
8.4 There may be occasions where we have to close all, or part of, Rollerworld. We will do our best to let you know of such closures in advance of them taking place, unless the problem is urgent or an emergency. We will use all commercially reasonable endeavours to ensure that such closures are outside of peak visiting hours and are kept to a minimum, in both duration and frequency. You will not be entitled to a refund of part of, or all of, your membership fees in such circumstances.
8.5 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms that is caused by any event that is outside of our reasonable control.
8.6 As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to any services that are not carried out with reasonable skill and care, or if the materials we use are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these terms will affect these legal rights.
8.7 This agreement is governed by English Law.
8.8 We may terminate this agreement with immediate effect on notifying you if you are in breach of Rollerworld’s Rules.
