We are now opening 15th August

It is with huge disappointment and regret that Rollerworld will not be opening on Saturday 1st August as planned and instead will now be opening on Saturday 15th August.

We offer our sincere apologies to our amazing customers who were hoping to visit us and for all those customers that have already booked tickets, do not worry – you will not miss out.

All tickets will be automatically deferred to the same day and time for the following week and you will receive an email in the next couple of days.

If this is not satisfactory for you, please contact us by replying to the email and we can either reschedule or refund your booking.

We apologise for the inconvenience and the confusion that has surrounded the re-opening of roller skating rinks in the UK.

We have been working non-stop to solve this issue with Members of Parliament and UK governing bodies and were confident and assured that we would be opening this weekend.

Thank you to everyone for your support, we could not get through this without you.

You are amazing and we look forward to welcoming you back from Saturday 15th August.

Please Donate On Our Crowdfunder

Every donation helps us keep going and we’re extremely thankful to everyone that donates, be it big or small.

Quasar Laser Tag Colchester

Test your aim and battle skills at our ultimate laser tag experience at DX’s Rollerworld and Quasar in Colchester. Wage war against your friends in the fight for points in a laser tag arena and see who comes out on top. Quasar makes for the perfect birthday party or team building day, so find out more about our packages and book online below.

Covid-19 - Private Hire Only

Quasar Laser Tag is available by private hire only due to Covid-19 safety measures. Your Group will be responsible that all members of the party are either from the same household or will be following UK Government Guidelines to attend.

How To Play Quasar

Armed with a Quasar laser gun and body armour your aim is to shoot first and ask questions later!

The aim of the game is to score as many points as you can whilst denying the enemy team. Protect your base, raid the other team and shoot your opponents to get to the top in our high octane laser tag arena.

How points are scored

Everyone will have a personal score starting at 10,000 points and will gain points during the match which will contribute to your team’s score.

Shooting the enemy base will gain you a massive 1000 points and shooting the opposing team will score 200 points to bring your team closer to victory.

But watch out!

Every shot you take and every time you hit one of your teammates you’ll lose 100 points as well, so work with your team and avoid getting shot!

That’s not all! getting critical hits give you double points so aim down the barrel of the enemy players gun to try and get the high score!

How Long Is A Game?

Each game of Quasar is approximately 30 minutes, comprised of:

  1. A game tutorial and safety briefing by an experienced Quasar marshal
  2. Equipment set up
  3. 15 minute timed Game
  4. Finally, we announce your scores and find out which team came out on top!

Age Resrictions

All ages are welcome in the arena provided they can wear and use the quasar equipment. We advise Quasar is suitable for ages 8+  but children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying Adult.

Any child who has paid for quasar but finds they can not play will be allowed to swap to skating (does not include skate hire). Please check our times and prices for any age restrictions on skate sessions.

Each game of Quasar can accommodate up to 26 players so it is most likely that you may be playing with other guests.

Check out our times & prices or book online now!
(Quasar can also be booked on the day at the door)
